Majestic Butterfly Afghan

Majestic Butterfly Afghan

This stunning afghan is one-of-a-kind! It would make a lovely heirloom to pass down through the generations or a very thoughtful wedding, Christmas or birthday gift! The entire afghan is made with rows of single crochet stitches in the Intarsia crochet technique (also known as a graphghan). Color changes are worked throughout the afghan, then one round of single crochet is added to finish off the edges neatly.

The pattern includes two downloads: one with added photos and one without the extra photos. Written instructions are given for how to begin the afghan (Row 1), along with how to work the edging. The afghan is worked following the 4 included “quarter” charts, which help to make the squares on the chart larger and easier to follow (instead of one large chart with smaller squares).

NOTE: Knowledge of the Intarsia (graphghan) style of crochet is required for this project. If you’re unsure how to work this crochet technique, watch various YouTube videos to learn the technique and practice on a small Intarsia/graphghan project first.
